About the Course
DAY 1
Fly from Lusaka to Royal airstrip in Lower Zambezi. Met and transferred to Kiambi Lodge. Settle into your luxury tented chalet. Overnight on FB basis.
DAY 2
After early morning Tea/Coffee, depart the lodge by boat for the Lower Zambezi National Park. Meet your vehicle near the gate entrance and start off on your Game drive into the Park. Breakfast and picnic lunch will be prepared and served by your guide in the national park at selected sites. Return back to the gate and board the boat again at aprox. 15h30. Travel along the river by boat up to the Island for your overnight camp experience. Simple bush supper is prepared by the guide. Showers are bucket showers and long drop toilets. Overnight at the campsite.
DAY 3
Breakfast will be served on the island at 7h00 with a departure from the campsite at aprox. 8h30. Enjoy the game cruise along the river heading back to Kiambi lodge. On arrival at Kiambi, check into your luxury tent chalet and relax until lunch time. After lunch at Kiambi lodge, an optional tour of the nearby village and banana plantation is available, or simply relax at Kiambi and enjoy a swim in the pool enjoying the river view. Overnight on FB basis.
DAY 4
After breakfast, prepare to check out of Kiambi lodge4 and transfer by road back to the airstrip for your flight to Livingstone via Lusaka. Met on arrival in Livingstone and transferred to Maramba river lodge. Check in to your luxury thatched en-suite chalet, and then head out for your guided tour of the Victoria Falls. Overnight on bed and breakfast basis. Additional meals can be ordered from the lodge restaurant’s a la carte menu.
DAY 5
Today you will be picked up from the lodge for a tour. A visit to Livingstone Island and experience of the Devil’s pool. Option to change to an Elephant interaction with lunch at the renowned Elephant cafe’, depending on the season of your visit, and a small price supplement. At 15h00 you will be collected for your Sunset river cruise on the MV Makumbi. The cruise includes drinks and light finger food. Return back to the lodge at aprox. 18h30. Evening is at leisure.
DAY 6
Early pick up for your full day trip to Chobe Park. This is a 2 to 3 hour trip across the border into Botswana. A game drive, river cruise and lunch is included in this excursion. Head back to Livingstone after tea, and overnight at Maramba lodge.
DAY 7
Today you depart Livingstone for Lusaka. Transfer from Maramba Lodge to Livingstone airport for flight to Lusaka. End of itinerary.
